COMMAND SQUAD
Barotta's command squad (the Ram's Head section) consists of the following:

Primus Decurion Evocatus Barotta: Decurion (sergeant/squad leader, literally 'leader of ten') of the elite Evocati (veterans). Promoted to Primus Decurion (first sergeant). The main man.
Wargear: Astartes PA, Astartes power shield, Astartes legacy power sword, Astartes bolter

Optio Evocatus Baal-Haam: The squad's second in command (optio). Competed with Barotta for the honor of leading the Ram's Head Section, but lost out. He's a decent guy, loyal and skilled, but he won't cry if Barotta should fall. Instead of the shield/sword combo, he favors plasma pistol/power sword (he's obviously skilled at dual-wielding).
Wargear: Astartes PA, Astartes plasma pistol, Astartes power sword, Astartes bolter
Cybernetics: Bionic heart

Evocatus Kazar: The squad's weapon specialist; drops the shield/sword combo to carry a mighty melta gun. He's easily Barotta's most dedicated warrior. More than willing to do whatever his Decurion commands, no matter the risks involved. He's even less interested in matters religious than most Sons are.
Wargear: Astartes PA, Astartes melta gun, Astartes bolter

Evocatus Aztegal: Quick to anger, quick to smile. Aztegal has a clever mind that is sure to get him into trouble someday.
Wargear: Astartes PA, Astartes power shield, Astartes power sword, bolter

Evocatus Zebel: Quiet and competent. Not one to question orders - or show too much initiative.
Wargear: Astartes PA, Astartes power shield, Astartes power sword, Astartes bolter

WARBAND NPCs
Prioress Tanith-Baal, Coven of the Vile Huntress: The Prioress is an older (compared to the girls under her command at any rate) woman, stern and grey-haired (by choice, not old age). Her origin and her past are not known, but presumably, she saw service with the Daughters before there was a Coven of the Vile Huntress. Some of the others whisper that she has stood in the presence of the Prophet, and received his blessings.

Sister Riga, Coven of the Angelic Touch: Dark and brooding, Sister Riga doesn't really look the part of a sweet sister of the Orders Hospitaller. Her healing touch cannot be denied, however. Nor her skill with the tools of the interrogator. She always wears pure white. In battle or in peace, in bed or in the torture pit. Always white.

Adeptus Karla Omega: Half woman, half machine, Karla Omega is still a passionate creature, far removed from the cold logic of the Mechanicus. She diligently explores the pleasures and pains of the flesh, while seeking to unlock the deeper mysteries of the Machine God. When not dressed for battle, she favors a clinging body-suit of Mars Red, worn under flowing robes of golden mist-silk that reveal more than they conceal. Her head she leaves uncovered, to show off the pure chrome of her skull.

Kay, Wyrd, Disciple of Samus: Light of hair and blue of eye, fair Kay looks like the angel she is not. Black Ship prisoner, freed by the Light. Attached herself to Barotta early on and has followed him on all his adventures. Supposedly trained as a sorcerer by the Salt Witches on Queensworld (Diamantina). Has a false sanctioning brand to go with her equally fake devotional tattoos. At some point, she became a disciple of Samus. She no longer has Samus' blessing (on the other hand, she also doesn't have Nurgle's rot). No one knew where Kay originally came from - until she started speaking Dusk-speak.

Lt. Anita Gomez (possessed): Dusky and dark-haired, Lt. Gomez has the hard, lean body of a woman that knows that every advantage counts on the field of battle. Formerly of the Vaxanide 101st Guard Regiment, now serving as a liaison on TG Barotta. Spent some time on Dusk and knows Dusk-speak as a result. Possessed, presumably by a daemon serving Samus. Gomez seems oblivious to the fact, and the daemon rarely asserts itself.

FLEET NPCs

Captain Carthalo Zenidi: Commander of the Eternal Lament. Born and raised aboard the Final Word, Carthalo has served the Prophet since taking his first breath (though it must be added: he is not a particularly religious man). He's got more than five decades of naval service, rising from a lowly deckhand to command of the Firestorm-class frigate Eternal Lament.

Navigator Moloch: Tall and gangly, Moloch cultivates an aura of sophistication, and rarely deigns to speak with anyone, though he spends much time wandering the ship. Moloch is one of the new breed of Navigators created by the Prophet of Light. He can trace his lineage to House Aleene, who spearheaded the Angevin Crusade, and infamous renegade House Nostromo. Mixed into this is the blood of wyrds and sorcerers.

OTHER NPCs
the Beast: This fearsome creature has its own blog entry.

Future Barotta, Infamous Reaver of the Vortex: Barotta spoke with a man resembling his future self at Facrast. He claimed to have set Facrast on fire (in the distant past), entered the Vortex, and forever been bound to it.

Krawl, Imperial Champion (aka Inquisitor Krawl, Ordo Malleus): Behold the mighty Krawl, Imperial Champion. Blessed by the God-Emperor. Slayer of countless daemons and Chaos Champions. Wielder of the Phoneix Blade, bearer of the Banner of Terra. Also likes to party with hookers, and has been known to pretend to be an Inquisitor.
