Melkior (Fortress/Unclassified World)

Cave by ~Nele-Diel on deviantART | Fantasy setting, Fantasy places

+++PLANETARY DATAFAX+++

Cryptic references to a Fortress World named "Melkior" have recently surfaced. According to the source, Melkior was stricken from the Roll of Worlds sometime before the Battle of Hethgard. The reason is not listed, but the planet's supposed location is: it's only a short jump from Hethgard or Eleusis.

Melkior was found to be a relatively pleasant Earth-like world with fairly decent resources. Its poisonous atmosphere is being processed by massive Mechanicus air scrubbers and will be breathable in a few generations. Meanwhile, the population is hosed in a string of domed cities.

Apparently there was some form of a viral outbreak or something in the cities, although it's unclear exactly what it was and who it infected all the cities. On orders of the Inquisition the failsafes on the dome airlocks were overridden and the people inside perished over the span of a single night.

If the domes are closed and the millions of corpses removed, Melkior can be made into a working settlement.

Pelegius (Unclassified World, Canis Salient)

Planet (The Caretaker) | Tardis | Fandom

+++PLANETARY DATAFAX+++

Pelegius is an officially unclassified planet located in the Jericho Reach. Located only a short distance behind the Greyhell Front of the Achilus Crusade, Pelegius has been contested by T'au expeditions and Imperial crusaders alike for solar decades. The planet's wealth of natural resources means that both sides regard it as extremely valuable, yet that same worth has resulted in a world which is inimical to Human or T'au life.

If rumors are to be believed, however, it is not merely mineral resources that has drawn the gaze of Human and T'au alike to Pelegius, and it is not merely the toxin-saturated, irradiated environment that poses a threat to those who seek to claim this bounteous world. Who knows what treasures - and horrors - await beneath the sands of this hellish death world?

Mataras/The Blood Trinity (Unclassified Worlds, Acheros Salient)

Exoplanet | Alien worlds, Apocalyptic, Sci fi concept art

+++PLANETARY DATAFAX+++

During the bygone days of the Jericho Sector, this system was known as the Mataras Sisters and was regarded as a jewel of the Imperium. At one time, this system supported four verdant and paradise-like worlds that served as a breadbasket for the planets of the Jericho Sector's core. Since the system is no longer part of the Imperium, it has been reclassified as Unclassified.

The Age of Shadows heralded a slow descent into blasphemy as the abandoned human populations soon embraced barbarity and the false promises of the Chaos Gods. The low point came in 920.M37 when the Deathwatch subjected Mataras IV subjected to the final sanction of Exterminatus.

The three surviving worlds of Mataras became known as the Blood Trinity, which thrived on internecine conflict and unceasing violence. The Blood Trinity is one of the holdfasts of the Stigmartus, but they fight a never-ending war against their own people to control the. The skulls pile up, and the land is choked with blood.

It is thought that perhaps the rot that took Karlack may have originated here, but exactly how it got into the holdfast of Crusade Command and was allowed to spread isn't understood.
